REVOLT WORLD returned with another thrilling three-day event in Atlanta, Georgia from September 20-22. This immersive experience offered engaging and impactful panels, master classes, a variety of DJ performances, and innovative showcases from some of the industry’s leading artists.

This year’s festival featured sets and discussions with top-notch talents like Caresha, known as Yung Miami, Rob49, Ari Fletcher, Cash Cobain, Flo Milli, along with iconic figures like Cam’ron and Offset. REVOLT aimed to present “a groundbreaking gathering that redefined the convergence of culture and creativity,” also serving as a platform for creators. The experience was powered by Wal-Mart.

2024 REVOLT WORLD welcomed numerous influential figures within Black culture. From live recordings of “Drink Champs,” “Caresha Please,” and “Big Facts” to educational conversations with stars such as Pusha T, DDG, Boosie Badazz, and ScHoolboy Q, the multi-day event was truly remarkable. Rap-Up highlighted seven standout moments that made the experience memorable for both talent and attendees. Check them out below!

1. “Caresha Please” Live Was A Hit Once Again

Yung Miami stands as one of the most vibrant hosts in the business. Having set a lively precedent with her action-packed first live show featuring Ari Fletcher in 2023, fans eagerly anticipated her subsequent discussions. This year, her thoughtful exchange with Boosie Badazz prompted him to share his unique perspectives on parenting a child within the LGBTQ+ community. While his views stirred some debate, many appreciated his candidness regarding his family. Surrounded by a chic setting adorned with numerous high-end designer bags, Caresha skillfully navigated engaging questions while incorporating her hit card game, Resha Roulette.

2. Women Creatives Proved They’re Running The Industry

Women are at the forefront of today’s music industry, and it’s impossible to overlook the abundance of extraordinary female recording artists making waves. REVOLT WORLD highlighted captivating performances from multiplatinum acts like Flo Milli and Coi Leray, alongside a heartfelt showcase from R&B sensation Mariah The Scientist. This performance signified one of Mariah’s recent headlining acts before embarking on tour to support fellow Atlanta talent Latto. Women showcased their dominance not only in vocals but also behind the decks, with celebrated DJs like Domo Wells and DJ Tori Brixx delivering electrifying sets.

Reflecting on her participation in the multi-day event, renowned DJ and fashion designer Wells shared, “I thoroughly enjoyed DJing and moderating the ‘Future of Fashion’ panel alongside Law Roach and Kollin Carter at REVOLT WORLD. It’s incredible how the organizers bring together diverse industries to entertain and educate. Often, I find limited opportunities to showcase myself in both music and fashion, so I’m thankful for the chance to express my duality.”

3. Live Podcast Shows Were A Huge Draw For Fans

Podcasts have gained immense popularity among fans in recent years. Live shows from some of REVOLT’s flagship programs attracted crowds during the three-day event. Whether it was REVOLT CEO Detavio Samuels’ “The Blackprint,” Atlanta’s “Big Facts,” or “The Baller Alert Show,” attendees flocked to support their beloved hosts during their scheduled times. Each show featured notable guests, including engaging discussions with famous personalities such as NFL MVP Cam Newton, Method Man, Lil Duval, among others. Rising talents like Lay Bankz, Skilla Baby, and Sukihana had fans buzzing with tales of their ascent in the industry.

Skilla Baby’s remark about Hip Hop being a domain for the youth went viral after he pointed out that only a select few “seasoned rappers” manage to stay relevant, citing Drake and Future as examples. “The Future of Podcasting” segment equipped young content creators with the essential knowledge to launch their own broadcasts effectively.

4. Artificial Intelligence Cannot Be Ignored

Artificial intelligence has sparked a variety of opinions, particularly in popular culture. Many were introduced to the technology through the controversial AI-created rapper FN Meka or ChatGPT, creating confusion around its functionalities. REVOLT WORLD’s “Designing The Future Through AI” masterclass offered a fascinating and enlightening session that empowered attendees on utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance their lives. The moderators took the opportunity to clear up misconceptions surrounding new developments while providing tangible examples of how creators can mold their futures by embracing fast-evolving technology.

5. Attendees Learned How To Monetize Their Lifestyles

Achieving financial success is vital for everyone. This year, REVOLT WORLD strategically organized multiple panels focused on teaching attendees how to effectively monetize their creativity and manage incoming funds wisely. The Creator Studio hosted sessions such as “Creativity Is Inclusive,” followed by “The Business of Beauty” and “Content to Cashflow Masterclass,” culminating in the grand event, “Building a Lifestyle Brand.” These workshops provided invaluable insights while emphasizing a unified theme of financial independence. Creatives departed from REVOLT WORLD empowered, armed with a clearer understanding of leveraging their persona and intellectual property to forge successful careers.

6. Hip Hop Is The Future

Even as the music industry faces significant restructuring and Black music often receives less emphasis, Hip Hop maintains its status as the leading genre worldwide. Emerging talents like Key Glock, 42 Dugg, Cash Cobain, Rob49, and diamond-selling artist Offset took to the stage on Saturday night (September 21) for a show-stopping finale. The two-and-a-half-hour performance featured back-to-back renditions of some of the year’s hottest hits. Tracks like Cash Cobain’s “Fisherrr” and Rob49’s “Mama” had the crowd energized before Offset wrapped up with a medley of classics from his illustrious career.

7. International Music Brought People Together

Artists such as Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Tokischa, Spice, Tems, Wizkid, Davido, Tyla, and many others have made significant impacts in recent years. With their rise in popularity in the U.S., international music has solidified its place in cultural fabric. DJ sets included an assortment of global tracks, while the three-hour Jerk X Jollof party on Sunday (September 22) served as a perfect capstone for 2024 REVOLT WORLD attendees, providing a jubilant conclusion to the festivities. The beloved traveling party presented music from across the globe, fostering a vibrant atmosphere that united attendees one final time.
