The year 2024 has proven to be monumental for 50 Cent, as he has recently unveiled plans for an extended residency in Las Vegas alongside a new docuseries poised to debut on Netflix. During an engaging conversation on Tuesday (Oct. 29) with “The Breakfast Club,” the iconic New York rapper reminisced about the guidance he imparted to Lil Durk, who was taken into custody on a murder-for-hire allegation earlier this month.

“We created a theme song for [‘Power Book IV: Force’], the Chicago rendition, and I commented, ‘Yo, are these them? Just keep an eye on them. His crew,’” 50 Cent recounted of their collaboration on the 2022 track “Power Powder Respect.”

The Curtis artist elaborated, “He mentioned, ‘You know what? Someone just appeared at my residence. How did they find out exactly where I live? I don’t disclose my address to anyone.’”

It’s worth mentioning that in 2021, intruders unlawfully breached Lil Durk’s residence in Braselton, Georgia, while he and India Royale were present. The event soon escalated into an exchange of gunfire, fortunately, with the rapper and his long-term partner escaping without injury.

During another segment of the interview, 50 Cent drew a parallel between his past encounters with entourages and Lil Durk’s current predicament. “I’ve consistently possessed that energy myself amid all the chaos. I’m not just an observer. Like, ‘Hold on? Where were you at [on] Thursday at 3 PM? If you got stopped, and you’re not incarcerated, why aren’t you incarcerated?’” he quipped.

As previously detailed by Rap-Up, Lil Durk was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Broward County, Florida, on Oct. 24. Officials indicated that the Grammy Award-winning artist reserved a private flight to Italy, along with two additional flights to Dubai and Switzerland, respectively. Just hours earlier, affiliates from Only The Family, including Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire offenses.
