Kay Flock remains in prison waiting for trial on a second-degree murder charge.
New York district attorneys state he shot a guy to death in front of a Harlem hair salon in December of 2021.
None that might even matter. This week the Feds hit the 19-year-old with RICO charges for his participation with NYC-based Sev Side/DOA Gang.
More particularly, Flock is facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, murder in help of racketeering, usage of a gun leading to death, tried murder and attack with an unsafe weapon in help of racketeering, usage of a gun for tried murder and attack with an unsafe weapon. He confronts life in jail.
All in all the Sev Side/DOA gang is being connected to 7 shootings in between 2020 and 2022.
Flock’s legal representative Jeffrey Litchman stated he will combat all the charges.
“We’re not surprised by the federal charges as we’ve been fighting Kevin’s state murder charge for over a year now—and considering the shooting was a clear act of self-defense, it wasn’t a particularly strong charge,” the declaration checks out. “That it’s now being used as a basis for a possible death penalty charge is extraordinary. On video, it is crystal clear that Kevin was about to be shot after attempting to walk away from his attacker. Only then, did Kevin use a weapon to defend himself and another from an armed, violent gang member who was about to pull out the loaded gun in his hand.”
