D.L. Hughley has decided to move forward from his dispute with Mo’Nique, emphasizing that he is an adult who doesn’t believe every disagreement requires resolution, especially not this one.

While in New York City, the comedian/actor was questioned about the public feud with the Academy Award winner and whether he would consider appearing with her on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

D.L. promptly dismissed the idea, indicating his apparent displeasure with Shannon as well.

Hughley made it clear that he has no intention of appearing on “Club Shay Shay” or reaching out to Mo’Nique, as he believes all pertinent points have been addressed.

Mo’Nique criticized several figures in the entertainment industry on the podcast, singling out D.L. for a comment made during a radio interview that she found offensive.

She requested that the segment not be aired, a demand D.L. claims to have respected in a social media outburst where he also labeled her as untruthful.

Sticking to his stance, D.L. emphasized his lack of regret regarding his statements about Mo’Nique, asserting that he sees no need for reconciliation with her as both parties are mature individuals who have expressed their opinions.

Essentially, Hughley believes that coexisting in separate spaces is sufficient and suggests that the notion of mandatory reconciliation for conflicting viewpoints is flawed.

In a prior incident in 2022, a disagreement over a comedy show headline led Mo’Nique to accuse D.L. of initially doubting his daughter’s sexual assault revelation, intensifying their feud.

Despite Mo’Nique apologizing for involving his daughter, D.L. clarified that he deemed engaging in contentious dialogues with her as unproductive and still maintains that perspective.
