Bronny James is candidly discussing his life-changing incident at USC, revealing that the 19-year-old Lakers rookie is still on the mend.
“My life feels different now,” James shared with Men’s Health magazine in a recent cover story released on Tuesday.
“I still feel like I’m on the path to recovery, working towards getting back to my former self,” LeBron’s eldest son expressed.
As we previously covered, we reported on the incident in late July 2023 when Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest during an informal practice with his Trojan teammates, collapsing unexpectedly.
Fortunately, the USC facility was equipped with advanced medical resources and trained personnel … who successfully revived him.
He mentioned to the publication that he is feeling better … sharing that he has reduced his heart medication dosage since the event.
Now, he is gearing up to join his father on the court for the upcoming Lakers season … and while he isn’t looking to overhype the situation, he admitted how surreal this experience is.
“Wow,” he expressed. “It’s incredible that it’s going to happen.”
With significant pressure placed upon him … he’s striving to discover his tranquility and become the best version of himself both in life and on the hardwood.
“I often envision where I’d find ultimate peace, you know what I mean,” he remarked. “I picture where I would be if I reached that mindset. I just close my eyes and take deep breaths.”
