Diddy claims that federal attorneys are hindering his ability to prepare a defense by withholding the identities of those accusing him in the ongoing criminal allegations.
On Tuesday, Diddy’s legal representatives submitted fresh documents requesting that a federal judge compel the U.S. Attorney’s Office to disclose the anonymous alleged victims mentioned in the indictment so that Diddy can effectively respond to accusations of having “abused, threatened, and coerced” women and others to fulfill his sexual inclinations.
Within the submitted documentation, Diddy asserts that once the identities are unveiled, there will be “ample evidence” to show that his interactions with the alleged victims were consensual. He is urging the federal prosecutors to clarify who is specifically alleging non-consensual behavior.
As noted previously, the 14-page indictment merely makes reference to “Victim 1,” who, based on the allegations presented, appears to be Cassie — with Diddy’s lawyers designating “Victim 1” as his former girlfriend.
Diddy’s current plea to the judge does not center on disclosing her identity … but rather seeks to uncover any other complainants the federal authorities are counting on to substantiate their case against him.
Additionally, the Bad Boy Records founder is pushing for the identities to be disclosed due to the multitude of civil lawsuits being initiated by attorney Tony Buzbee, who claims to now represent 120 clients.
Diddy’s team asserts that the federal case has caused widespread fallout, leading to a surge of accusations from unnamed complainants. Within the documents, they specifically note that six of Buzbee’s clients filed lawsuits on Monday.
In light of the “volume and anonymity of the complainants,” Diddy asserts that his legal team has implored federal authorities to disclose the identities of the purported victims; however, they declined to do so “at this moment.”
A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York opted not to provide any comments.

Diddy was taken into custody last month during an operation at the Manhattan hotel where he was residing. Since that moment, he’s been detained in Brooklyn … and the judiciary has denied his attempts to secure bail on two occasions. His legal proceedings are scheduled to commence in May 2025, and, as it stands, he will remain incarcerated until that time.
