Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos, a renowned MMA competitor who fought in the UFC and Bellator, and who was in a relationship with Demi Lovato , has tragically passed away at the age of 38, according to his family and the fighting community on Tuesday.
The specifics surrounding his cause of death remain unclear at this moment.
Over his seven-year professional journey, Vasconcelos participated in various MMA organizations and recorded an overall fighting record of 10-6.
The MMA athlete shared a snap outside a Jiu-Jitsu academy on his Instagram less than a day prior.
Regarding Bomba’s relationship with Lovato, the pair were first seen together in 2017, ringing in New Year’s Eve and catching a movie on New Year’s Day.
They parted ways in May after several months of togetherness, with reports indicating that their romance had “run its course.”
Walter, Vasconcelos’ uncle, expressed his grief, stating, “We were eagerly anticipating your holiday visit for Christmas, which will now never occur. Life is fragile, and this heartbreaking news struck us all.”
“We offer our prayers for you! May the Almighty, who is capable of all, embrace you with His boundless compassion and console all those who have loved you dearly!”
Rest in peace.
