The notorious co-founder of the Black Mafia Family criminal organization has been released from incarceration … and he is now completing his sentence in more comfortable conditions located in Florida.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, TMZ reports that Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was moved from FCI Coleman Low in Wildwood to a community confinement facility managed by the BOP’s Miami Residential Reentry Management Office on Tuesday.
Sources inform us that Big Meech is currently residing in a halfway house while still serving his time.
Big Meech was taken into custody in 2005 and later, in 2008, sentenced to 30 years for drug trafficking and money laundering offenses. A judge recently granted a reduction of nearly 3 years off his original sentence.
It remains uncertain when Big Meech will officially complete his sentence, but the significant aspect is that he is no longer in federal prison.
Brittany K. Barnett, Big Meech’s attorney and co-founder of the Buried Alive Project, expressed her delight to TMZ, stating she is “thrilled” that Flenory is now free after spending almost two decades in confinement. She mentioned he utilized his prison term to focus on self-improvement and is now poised to embark on a new phase of his life.
Simultaneously, 50 Cent has been at the forefront of keeping the BMF narrative alive … with a successful docuseries and TV show — even leading to Big Meech’s son, Lil Meech, pursuing an acting career.
The Hip Hop community has supported “BMF” for numerous years … with appearances from Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, Yung Miami, and even Eminem participating in the series, which currently includes three seasons.
It will be intriguing to observe whether Big Meech will be released in time for the eagerly anticipated fourth season, which has already been approved.
Keep an eye out …
