On Friday (Oct. 11), Latto released the highly anticipated visual for her TikTok sensation “Brokey.”
Directed by Laura Marciano, the video begins with Desi Banks inside Latto’s cheetah-patterned Lamborghini. “After all I’ve done for you, this is how you repay me? All those massages. The cheetah. I transformed you into a cheetah. I may not have been wealthy, but I had heart,” he quipped, referencing the title of the song.
In another segment of the video, Rubi Rose starred in a spoof commercial aimed at women tired of financially struggling partners. “Are you fed up with your guy? Tired of footing the bills? Over feeling like you’re his caregiver?” the “Big Mouth” artist questioned before encouraging viewers to dial the hotline.
Additional appearances featured Alabama Barker and Yadira Ramirez, who triumphed in Latto’s $10,000 “Brokey” contest in September. The TikToker was dismissed from her job at Waffle House for participating in the viral trend, which was highlighted throughout the video.
“Brokey” is included in Sugar Honey Iced Tea, which made its debut at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 chart this August. The project also features tracks like “Put It On Da Floor Again” and “Sunday Service,” alongside contributions from Ciara, Coco Jones, Megan Thee Stallion, Young Nudy, and Teezo Touchdown.
Latto is gearing up to kick off her “The Sugar Honey Iced Tea Tour” at Tampa’s Yuengling Center on Oct. 25. With Mariah The Scientist and KARRAHBOOO as her supporting acts, the trio will perform in Nashville, Brooklyn, Toronto, Detroit, and San Diego, among various other cities, wrapping up the tour in Denver on Dec. 7.
In other news, Latto joined GloRilla on “PROCEDURE” from her debut album, GLORIOUS, released at midnight.
