Recently, Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Conor McDermott fell victim to a significant theft – his team-issued iPad was snatched from his vehicle, prompting an investigation by the authorities.
TMZ Sports reports … the 31-year-old ex-UCLA player’s car was parked in a residential neighborhood when his digital playbook was taken.
Though no one has been apprehended yet, the LAPD is diligently pursuing leads to identify the perpetrator.
This incident is undoubtedly disappointing for McDermott, not merely due to the item’s cost but also because of the significant data it contained.
Teams provide players with these electronic devices to help them prepare for game days, featuring uploaded plays and practice footage for study.
However, the individual who stole the tablet won’t access all of the Rams’ strategies, as Apple’s technology allows for remote wiping of devices should such an unfortunate event occur.

McDermott, chosen in the sixth round during the 2017 draft, has previously played for the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and New England Patriots before signing with the Rams this offseason.
He notably scored a one-yard touchdown in 2021 … marking the only catch of his professional career.
This represents yet another challenging episode for Los Angeles, as the team currently holds a record of 1-4 this season … but is on a bye week at the moment.
