Federal Prosecutors Challenge Diddy’s Bond Appeal, Cite Bribery Allegations in Cassie Assault Case

The U.S. Attorney’s Office is addressing Diddy’s most recent attempt to secure bail … submitting new documents to remind the judge of the defendant’s historical actions aimed at obstructing justice.

The documents concentrate on the widely publicized video of the Cassie beating from March 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, where it’s claimed Diddy hosted a provocative party.

While Cassie’s name is not explicitly mentioned, federal prosecutors describe all activities depicted in the video — Diddy striking the victim, forcefully pushing her down, kicking her, and attempting to “pull her back to the hotel room.”

What the prosecutors essentially wish for the judge to prioritize is the incident following the approach of hotel security after witnessing the assault on their surveillance footage.

As per the documents, the founder of Bad Boy Records allegedly attempted to bribe the hotel security personnel with “a significant amount of cash for his discretion.”

Even though the security officer rejected the monetary offer, the authorities claim Diddy instructed his team to retrieve the recording, and “within days,” it vanished from the hotel’s servers.

Consequently, federal authorities are formally requesting that the appellate court judges uphold the lower court’s ruling to deny Diddy bail and keep him detained until trial.

As previously noted, Diddy along with his new legal representation has filed an appeal regarding the bond ruling. It’s important to consider that the judge has twice already refused his request.
