On Tuesday, October 8, Rihanna showcased a collaborative line from Savage X Fenty and Diesel, curated under the vision of herself and Glenn Martens.
“This partnership fuses the bold, body-and sex-positive spirit of the Savage X Fenty range with Diesel’s signature aesthetic,” the brands noted in a post on Instagram. In the posted visuals, Rihanna sported the Foiled Fishnet Maxi Sleep Slip, Foiled Fishnet Bustier, and Foiled Fishnet String Bikini Panty paired with a blue overcoat.
Additional items featured in the collection included corsets, denim shorts, cami tops, fishnet tank tops, and bodysuits starting at a price of $24.95 for Savage X Fenty members.
“She slays every photoshoot, no exception,” one commenter expressed in response. Another chimed in, “Just when we thought Savage X reached its pinnacle, muva surprised us yet again!” A different user added, “Mom always delivers.”
Accompanying Rihanna’s visuals was a beach-themed campaign photo session by Salvatore Matarazzo. The images depicted a “judgment-free day basking in the Italian sun, celebrating individuals of diverse ages, body shapes, genders, and ethnicities exuding confidence in their attire,” the brands revealed in a message to WWD.
The “Love on the Brain” artist has previously modeled for Savage X Fenty’s Lavish Lace and Bold Lace collections, donning an unlined plunge bra, a coordinating thong, a garter belt, and black thigh-high stockings for the latter.
“We aim to embrace women who may not have felt alluring by societal norms and criteria,” she shared with Vogue regarding the brand’s inclusive philosophy. “We want them to view this space as their sanctuary, recognizing that we understand and stand in solidarity with them.”
In September, Madame Tussauds London revealed a wax replica of Rihanna’s glamorous outfit from the 2019 British Fashion Awards, following the museum’s earlier version showcasing her Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show ensemble.
