On Monday (Oct. 7), GloRilla unveiled the lineup of artists anticipated to feature on her highly anticipated debut album, GLORIOUS, set to drop this Friday (Oct. 11).
This upcoming album will showcase appearances from Latto, with whom the Memphis artist previously collaborated on “FTCU,” along with contributors like Sexyy Red, Muni Long, Kirk Franklin, Kierra Sheard, Chandler Moore, Maverick City Music, BossMan Dlow, Fridayy, and T-Pain. Regular collaborator Megan Thee Stallion will also be joining forces with GloRilla once again, following their previous collaborations on “Wanna Be” and “Accent.”
As of now, the complete tracklist for GLORIOUS remains undisclosed. Nevertheless, confirmed tracks include “Hollon” and “TGIF,” with the latter receiving endorsements from Victoria Monét and Rihanna.
“This is an insane lineup, but I just have a feeling the album is going to be fantastic,” commented one Instagram user on GloRilla’s post. “It’s the inclusion of gospel artists that excites me,” noted another reply. One humorous user remarked, “Kirk Franklin looks like Mad Max from Shottas. Yeah, that song is going to be lit.”
Fans are already familiar with the dynamic between GloRilla and Megan, particularly from their time on the “Hot Girl Summer Tour.” The Houston rapper alluded to a potential collaborative project during her September cover story with Billboard. “I think that would be really fire,” she expressed. “I won’t say too much, but it feels like it’s going to happen.”
In July, 42 Dugg mentioned during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” that his CMG labelmate should collaborate with Red. He remarked, “Sexyy should definitely get into the studio for a mixtape with GloRilla. I was telling [Yo] Gotti, ‘They need to capitalize on this opportunity.’ I don’t know if they think that way. That’s the real way to make an impression in this industry.”
