Ex-NFL player Eddie Lacy is lucky he escaped injury or harmed others during his DUI incident last month … as authorities assert he was operating his vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding FOUR TIMES the permissible limit.
The Scottsdale Police Department indicates that the incident transpired on September 30 … following a woman’s emergency call claiming that a vehicle resembling Lacy’s Audi SUV was being driven so recklessly that she feared it could “kill someone.”
As stated in an SPD police report obtained by TMZ Sports, officers arrested Lacy in his Q8 shortly after the alert was made … and they quickly observed irregular behavior from the former Green Bay Packers running back.
“Eddie’s vocalizations were slow,” one officer detailed in the report, “slurred and muddled as soon as I initiated conversation with him.”
Body camera footage reveals that Lacy struggled to articulate clear and coherent thoughts — even after the officer mentioned recognizing him from his time playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
However, upon further inquiry during the stop … Lacy admitted to one of the officers that he had consumed alcohol during his flight into Arizona — specifically, “a single shot” of tequila.

When questioned about the legal threshold in Arizona, Lacy admitted, “Yes,” while adding, “I already have a DUI on my record.” Nevertheless, Lacy was uncertain whether .08 is the appropriate limit.
The authorities subsequently placed the 34-year-old in handcuffs and informed him that he was being arrested for DUI.
Court documents indicate that he has faced multiple criminal allegations, including one charge of extreme DUI with a BAC of .20 or higher. He is scheduled to appear before a judge for a hearing regarding this issue next month.
As Lacy stated in the police footage, this isn’t his first encounter with extreme DUI allegations. Police records we obtained reveal that in March 2022, he was charged with operating a vehicle in Scottsdale with a BAC of .247.
