A vehicle filled with suspected fraudsters in New York City is making headlines for what seems to be a bizarre scheme aimed at insurance deception — with the woman claiming to be their target capturing it all on her dashcam.
Here’s what unfolded … a clip shared on TikTok by Ashpia Natasha — which has amassed 35 million views — depicts her hitting the brakes as a vehicle cut in front of her on the Belt Parkway in Queens and suddenly halted.
After a brief pause, the leading vehicle swiftly reverses … crashing into the front of Ashpia’s car. The end result resembles a dramatic rear-end collision.
Ashpia was engaged in a phone conversation with her husband throughout, expressing her confusion and astonishment … ’cause the entire incident transpired so rapidly and was utterly crazy.
She asserts that the two occupants in the backseat obstructed their rear window with a “tarp” so the male driver could switch positions with a female passenger … all four individuals seemed to exhibit injuries, fled the scene, and examined the damages thereafter.
Authorities were notified, but since no injuries appeared to be evident, they opted not to attend the scene … advising Ashpia to exchange contact details with the other driver, which she claims she did.
It was only upon reviewing the dashcam footage that she recognized how suspicious everything was, particularly because one of the individuals — who Ashpia asserts was actually the driver — was picked up in a different vehicle, while the others departed in their damaged car.
A cautionary narrative, without a doubt!
