Despite being incarcerated, Young Thug continues to hold significant sway within the Hip Hop sphere. On Friday afternoon (Oct. 18), he sent ripples across social media by appearing to suggest peace between Future, Metro Boomin, and Drake.

In a recent update, he proclaimed, “Drake, Future, Metro Boomin, we all brothers. The music isn’t the same without our collaborations.” Future quickly shared his post on the platform previously known as Twitter, prompting fans to speculate whether this would put an end to the ongoing tensions between the previous collaborators.

One admirer pondered, “Does the energy of ‘Not Like Us’ diminish if any of the individuals mentioned resume working with Drake as if nothing transpired?” A different user replied, “I’d argue that Drake going silent for six months straight, only to be compelled to return to Atlanta, confirms that point.”

It’s uncertain if this will pave the way for a mending of relationships among the involved parties. Since Young Thug’s confinement, Drake and Future have frequently acknowledged their “Way 2 Sexy” associate. Earlier this month, the “God’s Plan” rapper shared that he contributed funds to Thug’s financial needs while he endured the highly publicized YSL trial.

In a recent collaboration, Future remarked, “I’m just a street dude, just rapping, my day ones got locked up (Pluto)/ You took a plea on my slime, it wouldn’t shock me if you ended up gone (Slatt)/ I’ve been going hard in the trap, I need to take my meds (Let’s go).” Many supporters interpreted these lines in ASAP Ferg’s new track “Allure” as being directed at Gunna in solidarity with Young Thug.

Although Drake has not yet addressed the tweet, considering his past interactions, a discreet acknowledgment is probably on the horizon. The self-identified “petty king” is notorious for his passive-aggressive veiled comments. Not long ago, he made headlines after sharing his sentiments regarding past friends who have taken advantage of him to advance their careers during an event called Nostalgia in Toronto.
