Babyface Ray is preparing to embark on a tour. On Tuesday (Oct. 1), he revealed the “Wavy Navy University Tour,” taking its name from his collaboration with Veeze.

The tour is set to commence at San Francisco’s The Regency Ballroom on December 2. Following that, the “Family > Money” performer will visit cities including Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Nashville before a brief holiday intermission. He is expected to return at the end of January for the second leg, which will include performances in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland, among other locations.

Appropriately, the tour is set to wrap up on February 7, 2025, in Ray’s native Detroit. General ticket sales will begin on Friday (Oct. 4) at 10 a.m. local time. Meanwhile, check out the complete tour itinerary provided below.

The announcement of the “Wavy Navy University Tour” coincides with the promotion of Ray’s newest album, The Kid That Did. This 20-track collection features collaborations with Fabolous, Rich Paul, G Herbo, BossMan Dlow, Hunxho, and Peezy, among others. Noteworthy tracks encompass “The World Is Yours,” “Count Money,” and “Delusional.”

Discussing the album’s title, Ray shared with “The Breakfast Club” hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God, “I originally took it from Sauce Walka. He had a quote that resonated with me, reflecting my journey and everything I’ve achieved in my career up to this point. It started as a concept for a mixtape. I aimed to include all the artists I was collaborating with. Things shifted, and it evolved into an album.”

During the same interview, Ray recognized Tee Grizzley, Sada Baby, and 42 Dugg for their roles in revitalizing Detroit’s music scene. “Initially, we faced challenges, but now, everywhere we go, we’re embraced. It feels rewarding at the moment, but it was tough in the beginning,” he confessed.
