The event unfolded on Saturday evening at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, opening with Cher’s legendary track, “Believe,” as she took to the stage alongside Dua Lipa.
During the induction of Cher, Zendaya honored her in a striking, nearly naked gown that seemed to be plucked straight from Cher’s own wardrobe.
In her heartfelt acceptance address, Cher proclaimed her influence on the evolution of music, highlighting her pioneering use of auto-tune in hits like “Believe,” and expressed gratitude to her inspirations, including Cinderella (yes, truly) and her mother.
She remarked, “The most important lesson from my mother is to persevere, especially for women … when faced with adversity, we press on.”
Julia Roberts also graced the event, supporting the Dave Matthews Band … during her induction words, she highlighted that the legendary jam band thrives on “spontaneous abandon,” a sentiment fully realized as DMB took the stage, igniting the entire crowd to sing along.
Other standout moments featured Dr. Dre honoring Mary J. Blige, emphasizing her role in establishing an entirely new genre — hip-hop soul … meanwhile, Chuck D alongside the Roots paid homage to the newly inducted Kool & the Gang, while Keith Urban and Roger Daltry created a stirring spectacle.

A plethora of other all-star collaborations came together to pay tribute to Ozzy, Foreigner, A Tribe Called Quest, and Dionne Warwick — all of whom were inducted into the Hall this year.
Additionally, there were heartfelt posthumous acknowledgments for Jimmy Buffett, Kris Kristofferson, Cissy Houston, John Mayall, and Big Mama Thornton.

Even though One Direction isn’t represented in the Hall of Fame, there was a moment of silence during the ceremony to commemorate Liam Payne … following the singer’s tragic passing last week in Buenos Aires.
By the way … this marks Ozzy’s second induction to the HOF, as he was first honored back in 2006 along with his former band Black Sabbath. Jelly Roll and Billy Idol joined forces for a musical homage to the Prince of Darkness in rock.
Rock and roll, baby!!!
