Ricky Pearsall made a heartfelt comeback to the gridiron this Sunday, stepping onto the field for the first time in the NFL after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest during a supposed robbery incident — and celebrated by making his inaugural catch.
The wide receiver for the 49ers successfully caught a pass against the Kansas City Chiefs just moments ago during his debut game … being tackled after a modest gain of six yards.

While it’s a common feat for a typical NFL wide receiver … Pearsall’s path is anything but ordinary — as one might recall, he found himself in the hospital after law enforcement reported that an individual shot him during an attempt to steal his Rolex in San Francisco.
According to police reports, the event transpired at approximately 3:30 PM on August 31 in Union Square, mere hours after RP had participated in an autograph event.
Pearsall was hit in the chest during a purported altercation with a 17-year-old assailant … however, according to his mother, the bullet miraculously evaded all major organs.
The 17-year-old suspect — whose identity remains undisclosed due to being a minor — is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a semiautomatic weapon, and attempted second-degree robbery.
Deputy Public Defender Bob Dunlap — who is representing the alleged gunman — asserts that his client is genuinely remorseful for his actions and has expressed sincere regret regarding the incident.
Although the shooting took place just 50 days ago … the first-round draft choice appears to be making a remarkable recovery — and he’s all set to aid his team in securing a victory this afternoon!
