On Thursday, September 26, Victoria Monét unveiled the tracklist for JAGUAR II (Deluxe), just a tad over a week ahead of its anticipated release on streaming platforms on October 4.
The set will kick off with “D**k at Night,” followed closely by the Thundercat-featured “Don’t Sleep.” Monét’s previously released single “SOS (Sex on Sight),” featuring Usher — the first of their two joint efforts on this project — is projected to be the third track.
Among the other titles on the list are “2Sexy (Interlude)” and “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” the latter seemingly a rendition of Sade’s classic from 1988. Fans can also look forward to a collaboration with Bryson Tiller, titled “We Might Even Be Falling In Love.”
“Thanks, Mother, for nourishing us. We were so hungry!” commented a fan on Monét’s announcement. Another fan added, “This deluxe version radiates lover girl vibes. The energy is high!”
“Oh, this is a major deluxe. Ma’am, could we possibly have a second leg of ‘The Jaguar Tour?’” another user expressed. Meanwhile, SZA simply remarked, “Period!”
The initial release of JAGUAR II came out in 2023 and included tracks like “On My Mama,” “Smoke,” and “How Does It Make You Feel,” among others. It also earned the title of Best R&B Album at the 66th Grammy Awards.
Earlier this week, Monét and her long-term partner, John Gaines, formally announced their separation after nearly a year of maintaining privacy regarding their relationship. “We both need to grow in ways that are best achieved independently, allowing us to be the best versions of ourselves for our daughter, [Hazel],” they shared in a joint statement. “Things just didn’t work out, and that’s perfectly fine. We hold each other in high regard and always interact with love for our family. Raising our amazing daughter will always remain our top priority. No relationship status can alter that reality.”
