Tragic Helicopter Crash: Four Lives Lost After Collision with Radio Tower Captured on Film

Disaster unfolded in the Houston region as a helicopter collided with a radio tower last night, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including a child.

The instant the helicopter struck the radio tower was captured on video, with one observer documenting the explosive aftermath of the incident.

The National Transportation Safety Board has confirmed to USA Today that the helicopter, identified as a Robinson R44, crashed into a local radio tower on Sunday evening shortly after taking off from Ellington Airport for an air tour.

According to Noe Diaz, the Houston Police Chief, all passengers on board tragically lost their lives in the incident.

He expressed, “This is an unfortunate occurrence tonight. A significant loss of life.”

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, with several agencies—including NTSB, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Houston Police, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Houston Fire Department—looking into the collision.

Fortunately, while both the helicopter and the radio tower sustained damage, there were no reports of destruction to homes or other structures in the area.

The identities of those who lost their lives have not been disclosed as of yet.
