In spite of the speculation, Doja Cat and actor Joseph Quinn are not tying the knot. The “Say So” singer dismissed the gossip following her performance at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sept. 21).
Rumors regarding their relationship began to circulate after she displayed a ring on her hand while performing “Agora Hills,” a song that features the lyrics, “Take you ’round the world, they don’t have to understand/ Rub it in their face, put a rock on her hand.” Nonetheless, Doja swiftly extinguished the engagement rumors with a now-deleted tweet on Sunday (Sept. 22): “No, I’m not engaged. It’s a David Yurman ring without any stones.”
The Los Angeles native was the headline act on the second night of the 2024 iHeartRadio Festival, which also featured performances from Big Sean, Victoria Monét, and The Weeknd. The event faced an unexpected hiccup when ASAP Rocky withdrew due to health issues.
Doja is also set to take the stage at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 28, alongside performers like Post Malone and Raye.
“It’s been a few years since my last appearance at the Global Citizen Festival in Paris, and I’m thrilled to collaborate with Global Citizen once more in Central Park this September to generate as much momentum as we can towards making the world a better place,” she stated in a press release. “Everyone has a role to play in the effort to eradicate extreme poverty and advocate for equity. I can’t wait to be part of this significant evening dedicated to positive change.”
It’s also noteworthy that Sunday marked the one-year milestone of Doja’s fourth studio album, Scarlet. This 17-track compilation includes hits such as “Paint The Town Red,” “Demons,” and “Wet Vagina,” among others.
