DDG is fed up with the critiques stemming from social media. On Saturday (Sept. 21), the artist behind the hit “Moonwalking in Calabasas” reacted to individuals who were displeased with his decision to include his son Halo in his livestream.

“This situation is driving me insane. Why is there a kid on stream?” queried one Twitter user, to which DDG promptly replied in a now-deleted tweet, “Because I was on stream working, generating this thing called revenue, while also being a devoted father keeping an eye on my son. It’s termed multitasking. Now, where’s your father?”

In another post, he dared the disrespectful fan accounts to reveal their identities. “You little fan pages ought to share your selfies alongside the criticism. This isn’t fair, seriously. Embrace your own appearance,” declared the Michigan native.

Previously, DDG has responded to negative comments regarding his son, and the backlash has intensified since he and his partner Halle Bailey revealed Halo’s face. In July, the duo posted pictures of their infant — without any blurring — from their trip to Italy.

“I need to recognize that my son has more wealth than they do, and he’s living a more accomplished life. He’s in Italy at just 6 months [old],” the YouTuber-turned-rapper remarked in reaction to the negative feedback.

In an intriguing turn of events, Bailey also confronted the negativity on Saturday. “I’m completely exhausted from people thinking they have the right to comment on my career and my child. Leave us in peace,” she expressed in a now-removed tweet, urging critics to direct their focus inward instead. The singer added, “God will continually safeguard and watch over my family.”

In August, DDG featured Bailey in the refreshed version of “If I Want You” from 2022’s It’s Not Me It’s You. This followed the release of “Trickin’,” which also debuted that month, while tracks like “copy my drip” and “she ain’t leaving” were made available the previous month.
