Cardi B has made it clear that she’s not to be trifled with. On the evening of Monday, October 21, the “I Like It” artist declared her intent to find the individual who alerted Child Protective Services to her residence — where she resides with Offset and their three children: Kulture, Wave, and their newest baby — following an erroneous abuse allegation.
“These people have taken things way too far by involving my f**king kids,” the Grammy-winning musician expressed during a session on Instagram Live. “For Child Protective Services to arrive at my f**king home? Not just any home, but my gated estate at 11 p.m. while my children are sound asleep because of an anonymous call claiming that my kids are being mistreated.”
In a video recorded from her hospital bed, Cardi B explained that she has been unwell and undergoing treatment since Saturday, October 19. “You inconsiderate a**holes think this is amusing, but it’s not,” she stated, before hinting at possible legal action against CPS and the caller. The Invasion of Privacy rapper also emphasized that her family is the only family of color in their community.
“My children are thriving. They have never been harmed, never hit, regardless of how bothersome they might be. I do not hit my kids,” Cardi B elaborated. “We provide exceptional care for our children. Do not ever, in your life, play with my motherhood or the fatherhood of my ex-husband.”
As previously reported by Rap-Up, Cardi B and Offset are in the process of divorcing after six years of marriage. The duo, who publicly confirmed their relationship in 2017, has experienced their share of challenges and reconciliations. Indeed, the Bronx native submitted divorce papers in 2020 only to retract them two months later.
In the meantime, in September, the “Red Room” rapper alleged that Offset accused her of infidelity while she was pregnant. “You slept with [someone else] while I was expecting. Just admit it!” he claimed during one of her Instagram Live broadcasts. She seemingly replied on Twitter shortly thereafter: “AND I DID!”
