Wiz Khalifa found himself in legal trouble this past summer in Romania after he lit up a joint during his performance at the Beach, Please! Festival on July 13.
“Investigations indicated that during a live show at a music festival in the Costinești resort, Constanța County, he was in possession of over 18 grams of cannabis (a controlled substance) and consumed an additional amount on stage in the form of a rolled cigarette,” stated the Romanian authorities.
In this Eastern European country, recreational marijuana usage remains prohibited.
Wiz now faces charges for breaching Romania’s drug regulations and could be sentenced to a term ranging from three months up to two years.
The silver lining is that Wiz seems to have returned to his home in the United States, thereby escaping the lengthy reach of Romanian law enforcement.
At this point, there has been no response from Wiz’s representatives regarding the indictment.
