Donald Trump‘s recent visit to a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania has stirred up a flurry of fake Yelp reviews … and the commentary has become so critical … or amusing, depending on your perspective … that the platform had to intervene and halt the influx.
Yelp has suspended the ability to leave reviews for a Bucks County, PA McDonald’s following Trump’s media-drenched Sunday visit … with the platform stating that it was flooded with a wave of fabricated narratives.
Yelp representatives informed TMZ that … the platform employs a system designed to detect unusual surges in traffic, which triggers a review by the staff, and this was precisely the case concerning Trump.
The Yelp page for this McDonald’s is on hold indefinitely, and reports indicate that the phony reviews are being purged, while new submissions will be barred until the situation calms down and critics of Trump shift their attention elsewhere.
One of the fabricated reviews stated … “Elderly man slathered bronzer on my fries … kept repeating himself, mentioning something about Ronald McDonald in the shower with golf buddies.”
As we previously mentioned … Trump acquired skills in frying McDonald’s fries and distributed fast food to patrons in the drive-thru on Sunday … engaging with customers and employees … while also taking jabs at Kamala Harris. The previous day, he oddly referenced Arnold Palmer in the shower with fellow golfers during a rally event in the region.
The virtual trolls targeted Trump too … however, Yelp isn’t particularly fond of this development.
