Back in July, Rihanna posed the question to GloRilla, “When is the album releasing?” Finally, we have the details. On Thursday (Sept. 19), the rising star from Memphis broke the news that GLORIOUS is set to launch on Oct. 11.

“I’m so thrilled to share this news with you all, and as a special gift, I’m dropping ‘HOLLON’ tonight at midnight (Sept. 20),” she wrote in an Instagram post featuring the album art. Anycia and her frequent collaborator Megan Thee Stallion flooded the comments with heart-eye emojis, while Sprite humorously commented, “[The] only way is to glow up.”

“This feels like an iconic album from the ‘90s,” one user commented. Another fan inquired, “How come your back isn’t sore from [having to carry] the entire year?” Check out the album art below.

“HOLLON” was teased earlier in August, although she swiftly revised the lyrics after receiving criticism for using the term “retarded.” In the revised version, GloRilla rapped, “H**, you must be unaware of what you just ignited / Me and my girls are going hard / We don’t care about this gathering / We’re going to do our thing no matter what.”

While the tracklist for GLORIOUS hasn’t been disclosed yet, fans are likely anticipating the inclusion of “TGIF.” This track was released as a standalone single in June and has amassed over 43 million views on YouTube for its accompanying video, in addition to landing her a No. 28 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This year has kept GloRilla exceedingly active, to say the least. She launched Ehhthang Ehhthang in April before embarking on the road with Thee Stallion for the “Hot Girl Summer Tour.” The duo known for “Wanna Be” has also shown interest in collaborating on a combined project, although it may take some time before that happens.

“I genuinely believe that would be incredible,” the Texas artist expressed to Billboard. “I’m not going to reveal too much, but it definitely seems like it’s going to happen.”
