The James clan has just etched their names in the history books!
LeBron and Bronny James made a historic appearance on the court together during the Lakers’ season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking the first time a father-son pair has played together in the NBA!
They both entered the game simultaneously with four minutes left in the second quarter while the Lakers held a 16-point lead.

This significant moment unfolded in the second quarter, as Bronny — the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft — stepped onto the Crypto.com Arena court alongside his father, captivating a sold-out audience in the heart of Los Angeles.
Fans, including renowned players Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. (the first father-son pair in Major League Baseball), were thrilled to witness this groundbreaking event.
Savannah James was filled with joy, witnessing her husband and their 20-year-old son compete at the highest level of basketball together.
It’s no secret that LeBron, now in his 22nd season, has always expressed a strong desire to share the court with his eldest son. Just a couple of years ago, while Bronny was still tearing it up at Sierra Canyon High School, LBJ proclaimed that this would be a dream fulfilled.
“I need to be on the court with my boy,” LeBron stated back then. “I got to share the floor with Bronny.”
For your information, the Jameses did play on the same team once during the preseason on October 6th, but those games don’t hold the same significance. This, however, does.
Bronny aspires for this to be just the beginning of many such appearances … and considering he scored 17 points in an exhibition against the Warriors on October 18th, this might not be as unrealistic as others believe.
Congratulations to the James family!
