The Taylor Swift-inspired cruise journeying from Florida to the Bahamas took a tragic turn on Tuesday as a 66-year-old woman reportedly fell overboard and is now unaccounted for.
A representative from the U.S. Coast Guard informed TMZ that the Royal Caribbean vessel, filled with Taylor’s enthusiastic fans, departed from the Port of Miami on Monday, and was approximately 17 miles north of Nassau in the Bahamas when the incident occurred on Tuesday night.
As per the spokesperson, the woman reportedly fell from the ship, known as Allure of the Seas, plunging into the sea around 9:40 PM.
The Royal Bahamas Defense Force, in collaboration with the U.S. Coast Guard, has mobilized to conduct search and rescue operations utilizing helicopters and planes.
However, as of now, the woman remains missing and is presumed lost at sea.
