Kirsten found solace in the belief that her father has been reunited with her mother, Valerie, and their son Cameron.
Ron embarked on his acting career in the late 1950s, but it was not until 1966 that he achieved significant recognition with his role as the lead character in the “Tarzan” television series, which ran for 57 episodes from 1966 to 1968.
His diverse portfolio includes appearances in “Wonder Woman,” “The Love Boat,” “L.A. Law,” “Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze,” “The Friend Who Walked the West,” along with several other ‘Tarzan’ adaptations throughout the years. Later in his life, Ely authored two novels as well.
The year 2019 brought unimaginable turmoil to Ely’s life when his son, Cameron, who was allegedly in the early stages of CTE, fatally stabbed his mother, Ron’s wife. Following this tragic event, Cameron was shot and killed by sheriffs from Santa Barbara County.
In the subsequent year, Ron filed a lawsuit against the county sheriff’s department, alleging that the deputies failed to provide necessary medical assistance following the stabbing of Valerie and the shooting of Cameron.
Ron was 86 years old. He is survived by his daughter Kirsten and another daughter, Kaitland.
Rest in peace
