Lucki’s journey from the underground scene to becoming a swag rap sensation has been a steady progression over several years. His recent release, GEMINI!, features an array of gifted artists such as Lil Yachty, Veeze, Rylo Rodriguez, Future, and others.

Although numerous artists have embraced him for his Lil Wayne and Pluto-influenced rap style, it appears he might be facing friction with one of the music industry’s leading figures. On Saturday night (Sept. 14), Lucki disclosed insights regarding his ongoing dispute with Playboi Carti.

On his Instagram Story, he articulated, “Like I mentioned from the beginning, I don’t have anything against you. You assumed that because I purchased a chain and said, ‘Crosses up,’ I was throwing shade at you due to your song referencing an ‘Upside down cross tat on my neck,’ but that’s not the case—I simply acquired a chain and was expressing ‘Crosses up.’ You’re just feeling insecure because you don’t have that love for Jesus.”

After displaying a screenshot of direct messages from Carti praising him in 2023, he humorously noted that the “ALL RED” artist isn’t a genuine “Jesus lover.”

In the midst of their exchange, Opium artist Ken Carson defended his label head by quoting his collaboration with Destroy Lonely, rapping, “Lil’ boy, you should’ve signed to Opium, I laugh at that n***a, he slavin’/ You ain’t get no money, you ain’t get no funds/ I count that s**t up and I’m savin.’”

One fan remarked, “There isn’t a single Ken Carson track that outshines any Lucki song lmao.” Another chimed in, “Oh wow, all the emo thugs are squabbling—someone hide the nail polish and weapons.”

Lucki is recognized for being outspoken on social media whenever he has grievances. He recently appeared on “On The Radar” to unveil a fresh track. He’s celebrated for his lean-infused lyrics and stellar beat choices.
