If you happen to notice some canines with a hint of blue in Los Angeles this week, don’t be surprised — Dodgers enthusiasts are simply dyeing their dogs to attract some good fortune for the team as they prepare for the upcoming World Series.
Journalists from NBCLA visited numerous grooming salons throughout Southern California this week and uncovered that Angelenos are eagerly visiting places to coat their dogs’ fur in blue as they rally behind the boys in blue facing off against the Yankees.
Throughout Los Angeles County, paws, ears, and tails are being dyed in Dodger blue … rest assured, the groomers assure that the dye is “non-toxic” and “absolutely safe” for the furry friends.
An enthusiastic dog owner remarked that she believed the color alteration would assist Shohei Ohtani and the squad when they step onto Dodger Stadium’s turf this weekend.
“I can’t claim they’re going to win just because of George,” the dog owner stated, “but I have faith he will contribute in some way.”
It may sound like a fur-fetched tactic to win a championship … but we will soon see if it truly makes a difference — the first pitch of Game 1 is merely a day away!
