Kim Kardashian is ecstatic about the possibility of freedom for the Menendez brothers, and she specifically credits Ryan Murphy as a key figure influencing the judicial process that urged the District Attorney to take action.
In reality … a hearing had been planned for Erik and Lyle Menendez to present their argument long before Murphy’s ‘Monsters’ premiered on Netflix. However, L.A. County D.A. George Gascón indicated that he expedited the proceedings due to heightened public interest generated by the documentary, presumably referencing the one produced by Paramount.
Regarding Kim, she expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thank you, George Gascón, for reviewing the Menendez brothers’ situation and correcting a grave injustice.”
She continued on … “To the family and friends of the brothers, and to the countless supporters who have raised their voices – your pleas were acknowledged. The media coverage, particularly following Ryan Murphy’s television series, played a crucial role in unveiling the abuse and inequities within their case.”
As previously reported, Gascón plans to submit legal paperwork on Friday, requesting a judge to resentence Erik and Lyle, which would make them immediately eligible for parole.
If the judge consents, the matter will be forwarded to the California Parole Board, a hearing will be arranged, and the brothers could potentially regain their freedom within a few months.
Stay tuned …
