In May 2023, Hit-Boy disclosed that his father, Big Hit, had been released from incarceration after nine long years. He mentioned that Big Hit headed straight to the studio, and they started collaborating on new music.

However, just yesterday, Hit-Boy announced that his father has returned to prison and shared a FaceTime conversation with him.

The California producer urged fans to support his father’s music and merchandise, as reported by AllHipHop.

“People often questioned me about my prolific music releases and the time spent with my father. Deep down, I always had a lingering fear of him returning to prison, and here we are,” Hit-Boy captioned in his post. “The future remains uncertain, but Big Hit sends his gratefulness to all of his supporters. He recorded over 700 tracks during his time out, so we have more music coming your way.”

Hit-Boy’s father has endured significant time in detention. In 2014, he was apprehended in Illinois due to a warrant from California concerning a hit-and-run incident. He subsequently received a 12-year prison sentence.

Moreover, Big Hit spent 15 years in federal prison after being caught with 10 kilos of cocaine, an arsenal of ten firearms, and $300,000 in cash.
