Megan Thee Stallion delighted her fans, the Hotties, by releasing her second album of the year, MEGAN: ACT II, on Friday (Oct. 25).

This 13-track album kicks off with “Bigger In Texas,” where Megan pays tribute to her heritage, also accompanied by a visual presentation. Following that, she captivates listeners with tracks like “Bourbon” and “Number One Rule,” expressing admiration for fellow artists Beyoncé and SZA.

The project also features a collaboration with Flo Milli on “Roc Steady” and a remix of “Mamushi” with girl group TWICE. Additional contributions come from Spiritbox and BTS’ RM, who appears on the mixtape’s concluding track, “Neva Play.”

Good News artist shared her motivation behind this LP: “I believe it’s important to keep the Hotties satisfied and engaged. This is truly the year of Megan Thee Stallion.”

I wanted to express my passion for anime, celebrate my Southern roots, share my love for enjoying life, and truly be myself. I believe I accomplished that,” the Houston native explained to the publication.

She continued, “Many were anticipating a certain style from me on this album, but I aimed to present a new side of myself—this version that I embody at this moment.” Additionally, Megan’s forthcoming documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, is set to premiere on Oct. 31 through Amazon Prime Video, where she will discuss her mother’s death, her ascent to stardom, and more.
