Summer Walker has officially entered her Finally Over It

The visual featured the winners of “Love Island USA” season six, Kordell Beckham and Serena Page, who portrayed romantic partners much like they do in real life. Throughout the nearly three-minute duration of the video, the duo transitioned from affectionate cuddles to heated disputes as Walker melodically lamented, “Question is, why I do the things I do?/ Answer I may never find, but I’ll always choose you/ Wanna give up on you, but, damn, I know I can’t/ I put the blame on me for giving you chance after chance.”

Directed by Erik Rojas, the clip was accompanied by a sped-up and instrumental rendition of “Heart Of A Woman.” Although a release date for Walker’s anticipated album remains undisclosed, fans were thrilled to spot Beckham and Page featured in the video.

“Seeing Serena and Kordell in the Summer Walker lyric video definitely wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card. My universes [are] colliding,” one Twitter user shared. “It’s ‘90s R&B vibes, exactly what Serena mentioned loving. Oh yes, I’m so ready for this album,” another user tweeted. Walker’s Finally Over It marks her first complete project since the 2021 release of Still Over It, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The earlier album gifted listeners with hits such as “Ex For A Reason” featuring JT, “No Love” alongside SZA, and the Lil Durk collaboration “Toxic.”

Earlier this month, the “Girls Need Love” sensation shared the initial trailer for Finally Over It. In the teaser, she humorously alluded to Lil Meech’s infidelity scandal. “Damn, you gon’ do me like that? Hit me back. I was just helping my cousin with groceries,” a voicemail recording echoed. While we eagerly anticipate the album, check out the video for “Heart Of A Woman” below.
