A lot of time has passed since fans last caught a glimpse of Lil Uzi Vert, particularly following their withdrawal from social media earlier this year. Nevertheless, it appears the artist is cautiously preparing for the release of their next major project.

In the early hours of Wednesday (Oct. 23), they launched a fresh track entitled “Uzi The Earthling! (TV Show Theme).” This 30-second snippet did not showcase any of the RED & WHITE rapper’s vocals, instead presenting a commercial-style tune performed by a female vocalist.

“Here’s the tale of a fellow named Uzi/ Recognized for his gems and flair/ From the pavement to the stage, boy’s always occupied/ Crafting melodies that’ll light up your day,” she sang. “Little Uzi Vert, he’s the one to behold/ Spreading happiness to you and me/ Little Uzi Vert, he’s the one to behold.”

This new piece may find its way onto Uzi’s much-anticipated Eternal Atake 2, as suggested by its cover art. It showcased a keyhole reminiscent of the Grammy nominee’s 2020 project but with the numeral 2 displayed inside.

In the year 2023, Uzi provocatively declared his intention to retire from the music scene. “Why call it quits now? Business doesn’t function that way. I have one more album [to] submit. After that, I can finally express genuine joy,” they mentioned on social media. In another post, they stated, “I disregard [the] negativity. I possess a [gift], yet I also have emotions and have kept a lot inside… I JUST WANT TO BREATHE.”

For better or worse, Uzi has yet to provide updates regarding what is believed to be his concluding album, Luv Is Rage 3. This LP was anticipated as a token of appreciation for fans after the 2023 release Pink Tape ascended to the top of the Billboard 200 chart.

Apart from his musical endeavors, the “Just Wanna Rock” sensation participated in a promotional venture for Marc Jacobs’ 40th anniversary last June, where he modeled a limited-edition tote crafted by Stephen Sprouse.
