The vocalist Loomis is shedding light on her unsuccessful rendition of the National Anthem, defending her claim that she is indeed a talented singer, notwithstanding her flawed delivery.
On a visit to Los Angeles on Friday, we spoke with the artist who explained her desire to “start over” while performing the U.S. anthem during the Free and Equal Elections Presidential Debate that took place on Wednesday.
Nevertheless, Loomis clarified that her anxiety and uncertainty regarding the event’s broadcasting led to her spontaneous request to restart in the midst of her performance.

Loomis stated that she commenced her rendition of the National Anthem quite powerfully but was interrupted by someone from the production team who indicated that they were unprepared for her and instructed her to begin anew.
The artist reflected that this interaction led her to believe that the event was not being broadcast live, which is the reason she confidently requested a fresh take during her performance.

She expressed … “It’s the most terrifying experience to me ever, since my childhood. It’s because, you know, everybody is standing stiff and solemn. The atmosphere is so silent. It’s intimidating.”
