In the track “Accent” from June, Megan Thee Stallion passionately delivered the lines, “True Religion, I feel like a stallion, horseshoes on my a**.” Fast forward, the Grammy-winning artist and the denim brand have transformed those words into reality through their Where Holiday Wishes Come True initiative, which was formally launched on Tuesday (Oct. 22).
Megan expressed her excitement in an official press release, stating that, “Collaborating with True Religion feels like a full circle moment.” She added, “I have loved this brand since my childhood, so it’s a thrill to feature in this campaign and celebrate the Hot Girl Holidays in a remarkable way,” as reported by VIBE.
This partnership was revealed through visuals showcasing the Good News creator along with Hunxho, who exhibited menswear. One image features Megan in a red cropped top adorned with the True Religion emblem and jeans showcasing harmonized stitching. Another presents her in a stylish denim ensemble.
Michael Buckley, CEO of True Religion, remarked, “Teaming up with Megan Thee Stallion is revolutionary for us. She is the embodiment of our women’s segment, which is experiencing substantial growth this year.”
CMO Kristen D’Arcy also shared her enthusiasm, stating, “I’m absolutely ecstatic to kick off our second annual holiday campaign with Megan, who embodies the essence of our brand, not only as a supporter but as someone aligned with our values. We aim to engage both existing and new customers in a vibrant and inclusive way, welcoming them to the True Religion family.”
The artist known for “Mamushi” is poised to release her second album of the year, MEGAN: ACT II, on Friday (Oct. 25). In anticipation, she has teased fans with insights about the album, hinting at a potential collaboration with Flo Milli and the track “Neva Play,” featuring RM, which was unveiled in September.
On October 31, Megan’s documentary for Amazon Prime Video, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, is set to debut on the streaming platform. The film is expected to address sensitive topics, including her mother’s passing and the incident involving Tory Lanez.
