Tyler, The Creator Releases “NOID” Music Video Featuring Ayo Edebiri

Tyler, The Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA is set to release on October 28. Today (October 21), just a week ahead of this highly anticipated album, he disclosed the second pre-release track, “NOID.”

The track draws inspiration from last week’s “ST. CHROMA,” and features an accompanying black-and-white visual that opens with Tyler navigating through a throng while donning a mask. Notably, Emmy Award-winning actress Ayo Edebiri rushes toward him with her mobile device, only to later be seen clutching a firearm.

“I can’t even purchase a home in peace / Home intruders got my brothers dying / I take note of every car that passes by / I suspect my neighbors want me gone / I’ve got a piece tucked under the bed,” Tyler spits. “Triple checking if I secure the door / I’m aware of every creak in the floor / Motherf**ker, I’m anxious.” Watch the full video below.

CHROMAKOPIA will be launched three weeks before the IGOR creator graces the stage at 2024’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival. This annual festival is set to feature performers like Playboi Carti, Sexyy Red, Denzel Curry, Doechii, Tommy Richman, ScHoolboy Q, and many others from November 16 to 17 in its 10th anniversary celebration.

Similar to 2023, Camp Flog Gnaw will unfold at Los Angeles’ Dodgers Stadium. Renowned producers such as Mustard and The Alchemist will have their own dedicated sets, alongside a special tribute honoring the late MF DOOM.

Tyler’s last full-length album was 2021’s CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, which clinched the Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. This 16-track collection featured hits like “WUSYANAME” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ty Dolla Sign, “JUGGERNAUT” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, and “SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE,” among various others. Collaborations included prominent artists such as Lil Wayne, Teezo Touchdown, Brent Faiyaz, 42 Dugg, Pharrell Williams, and several more.

The artwork for this project was crafted by Gregory Ferrand, who shared with Complex, “I believe that [Tyler] was aiming for a feel reminiscent of the early 1960s, but it’s closely aligned with the aesthetic of my own paintings. He brought me a very rough draft, yet it perfectly captured his vision.”
