AdonysX has claimed the title following an incredible performance at Red Bull Batalla USA. After triumphing in the prestigious freestyle contest, he was set to showcase his skills at the International Final in Spain.
Red Bull Batalla is recognized as the premier Spanish-language freestyle event worldwide. With Latin music soaring in popularity across the U.S. thanks to artists like Peso Pluma, Bad Bunny, Anuel AA, Anitta, and FloyyMenor among others, this rap competition has cemented its place in the global rap landscape.
During the event on Saturday night (Oct. 12), AdonysX faced off against numerous competitors before finding himself in a thrilling sudden death battle against Frietes. Ultimately, the Venezuelan-Dominican rapper lifted the Red Bull Batalla National trophy in front of nearly 2,000 enthusiastic spectators who remained captivated throughout the event.
Right after his victory, AdonysX shared with Rap-Up, “I’m incredibly excited; it’s hard to put into words how I’m feeling. I feel such immense pride, representing my country means everything to me. If you think you witnessed something impressive tonight, just wait until you see me in Spain. This is just a glimpse of what I’m ready to bring to the International Final.”
The competition was assessed by renowned figures in the freestyle industry, including six-time Grammy-nominated artist Akapellah, Dominican rap and dembow star Quimico Ultra Mega, and two-time Red Bull Batalla USA National Champion Reverse. Esteemed personalities from the realm include Snow Qlq and El Dilema, who also lent their expertise as judges.
As Spanish-language music continues to emerge as one of the leading genres globally, it’s only fitting that Red Bull Batalla is gaining traction. Prominent American artists like Cardi B, Drake, DJ Snake, and others have sought collaborations with stars such as Peso Pluma, Bad Bunny, and beyond.
Drake has recently attracted attention with his foray into regional Mexican music, collaborating with Chino Pacas on the track “Modo Capone.” In this song, he delivered his rap entirely in Spanish, stating, “La ninfo mami me llama/ Me quiere en su cama, fresas y cocaine/ Travis sonando/ Cubanas me gusta portarlas, dinero es poder.”
AdonysX is gearing up to compete in the Red Bull Batalla International Final in Spain on November 30. Catch the complete final battle below!
