The 2024 polls are now less than a week away… and stars in Atlanta are mobilizing the public to make their voices heard — even going door-to-door to spread their message.
A host of prominent individuals hit the streets of ATL yesterday, urging voters from typically marginalized communities to fulfill their civic responsibilities this election season… with Killer Mike spearheading the movement.
Take a look at the photographs of Mike engaging with a resident of the area… while rap icon Jadakiss posed for a photo with a large group including Beanie Sigel.
The initiative — co-sponsored by Mobilize Justice alongside ONE Music Festival — commenced with a community canvassing effort… the organizations are optimistic that face-to-face engagement might bolster voter turnout in historically overlooked neighborhoods.
The group then transitioned to an indoor venue… where numerous celebrities, local activists, and elected officials addressed the audience about the significance of voting on November 5.
Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick, Icewear Vezzo, Nipsey Hussle‘s sibling Blacc Sam, Benny the Butcher, LaToya Tonodeo, Naturi Naughton, Angie Martinez, and others shared their thoughts with the crowd present.
Georgia — typically a conservative-leaning state — was narrowly won by Democrats in 2020… hence, both major parties are keen to win over voters in a state now regarded as a battleground.
It appears these celebrities are eager to inspire Georgians — particularly those within the Black community — to head to the voting stations!
