The upcoming election in 2024 is less than two weeks away, and Atlanta’s celebrities are mobilizing to urge citizens to exercise their right to vote — even knocking on doors to spread their message.
Several prominent figures ventured into the streets of Atlanta yesterday to sway voters in traditionally underrepresented neighborhoods to fulfill their civic responsibilities this election season, with notable personalities like Killer Mike spearheading the initiative.
Take a look at the photos showcasing Mike engaged in conversation with a local resident … while rap icon Jadakiss posed for a picture with a large group alongside Beanie Sigel.
This gathering — co-hosted by Mobilize Justice and ONE Music Festival — commenced with community outreach efforts, as the organizations aimed for direct engagement to potentially boost voter turnout in historically marginalized neighborhoods.
Following the canvassing, the assembly moved to an indoor venue where numerous celebrities, local activists, and political figures addressed the audience about the critical nature of participating in the election on November 5.
Notable figures like former NFL quarterback Michael Vick, Icewear Vezzo, Nipsey Hussle‘s sibling Blacc Sam, Benny the Butcher, LaToya Tonodeo, Naturi Naughton, Angie Martinez, and others shared their messages with the crowd.
Historically, Georgia has leaned towards conservative values, yet in 2020, Democrats narrowly claimed victory in the state, prompting both parties to intensify their outreach efforts in what is now perceived as a battleground state.
It appears that these celebrities are eager to inspire Georgians — particularly those within the Black community — to make their way to the polling stations!
