In honor of GLORIOUS launching on streaming services earlier this month, GloRilla issued a video montage showcasing her recent professional milestones on Wednesday (Oct. 16). “I wish to dedicate [this] moment to express my gratitude for all the [love] and support [you] have shown,” she wrote on X. “It truly means the world to me. I’ve genuinely poured my heart and soul into this work, quite literally.”
The brief compilation, lasting about a minute, comprised clips of her touring with Megan Thee Stallion, behind-the-scenes moments at the MTV Video Music Awards, working out, and receiving the key to Memphis, Tennessee, among other highlights. One particular segment featured GloRilla video calling Cardi B to celebrate her 32nd birthday on October 11.
The “Bodak Yellow” artist humorously recounted, “Honestly, I was so intoxicated [that] I flashed my breasts at her.” GloRilla amusingly quote-tweeted this remark: “[That] was [the] highlight of my evening” coupled with exhausted face emojis.
Interestingly, Cardi and GloRilla share familial connections — the Memphis artist also has a kinship with Lil Uzi Vert. While chatting with Big Boy, the Invasion of Privacy creator disclosed, “My grandfather — I usually keep my family matters private — but he was into some not-so-legal activities. There was this occasion when he resided in Tennessee, and he didn’t quite inform my grandma about his other relationship there. He had a child with her, and that’s GloRilla’s father.”
In addition, Cardi played a pivotal role in helping GloRilla achieve her first Top 10 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the 2022 track “Tomorrow 2.” The duo later collaborated again on “Wanna Be (Remix),” with the original version featured on Ehhthang Ehhthang.
GLORIOUS, GloRilla’s inaugural studio album, was released featuring contributions from T-Pain, Megan Thee Stallion, Kirk Franklin, Fridayy, Sexyy Red, Latto, BossMan Dlow, and several other talented artists.
