It appears that Lil Durk’s Deep Thoughts is set to be released later than originally planned.

The album was expected to premiere on streaming platforms this Friday (Oct. 18) featuring tracks such as “Monitoring Me,” “Turn Up A Notch” and “Late Checkout” with Hunxho. Nevertheless, on Monday (Oct. 14), fans on social media discovered that the pre-save link for Apple Music now indicates a new release date of Nov. 22.

As of now, the Chicago artist has yet to publicly announce if the drop has indeed been postponed. On Oct. 13, he shared a sneak peek – one of several teasers in a short span – showing him in front of London’s iconic Big Ben clock tower.

“I tell brodie a thousand times who’s with us and who’s not / When you’re around, put that phone down, you love to FaceTime all the enemies / When they pass, you want to claim them to gain respect, that’s just hot air,” Lil Durk raps in the associated song snippet. “The last time this conflict was this intense was with B.I.G. and Pac / Flowing all these substances through my body, I missed them.”

The Only the Family founder’s latest album was 2023’s Almost Healed. Alongside the Grammy Award-winning track “All My Life” featuring J. Cole, this 21-track project boasted collaborations from artists like Alicia Keys, Morgan Wallen, Juice WRLD, and more, not to mention frequent collaborators like Future and Lil Baby.

“You can be nearly healed from any kind of ordeal, whether it’s a broken heart, a broken arm, or a broken leg. Anything can heal. The title itself resonates,” Lil Durk informed Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis at the time of release. “It’s akin to everything you’ve endured. You can see it, feel it, and hear it.”

On Sunday (Oct. 20), the “No Auto Durk” star is set to perform at the United Center in honor of his 32nd birthday. While special guests are expected to join him on stage, their identities have not yet been disclosed.
