Matthew Perry‘s relatives reunited to commemorate the “Friends” actor one year following his passing.
Matthew’s stepfather, “Dateline’s” Keith Morrison, along with his mother, Suzanne Morrison, and his three sisters spoke with “Today’s” Savannah Guthrie, delving into what they think were significant contributors to Matthew’s passing.
Madeline, one of Matthew’s sisters, pointed out that Matthew might not have been conscious of his relapse. He was finishing a phase of sobriety after his book tour and had been using ketamine for treatment. Subsequently, he began sourcing ketamine from the black market and consuming it in excessive amounts without supervision.
The family discussed Matthew’s strong-willed nature, emphasizing his independent spirit, yet also acknowledging the profound loneliness he experienced.
As previously detailed, five individuals — inclusive of two physicians — have been indicted in relation to Perry’s death. Of these, three have admitted guilt, while one of the doctors and the so-called “Ketamine Queen” have pleaded not guilty.
Keith expressed his satisfaction in witnessing accountability, underscoring that if one provides an addict with drugs that lead to a fatal outcome, “You’re facing serious consequences.”
