Azealia Banks and Lil Nas X are in a heated exchange, apparently sparked by an unapproved collaboration. On Sunday (Oct. 27), she asserted that the Atlanta-born rapper has “fallen off,” to which he promptly reacted.

“Azealia, I could stop making hit songs immediately, and you would still never in [your] b**sy soap-selling, chicken-sacrificing, botched body-hating a** miserable life reach a fraction of my accomplishments,” Lil Nas X tweeted. “By the way, I love [your] music.”

“Where are your bars? We won’t use condescension to avoid the real issue here. The matter at hand is that you cannot f**king rap, son. You’re an awful lyricist with basic musical tastes,” Banks responded in an extensive tweet. “We need to agree on where your talents lie. Sure, we can acknowledge that [you’re] a pretty face for these desperate old white men in fashion, but what happened to your music, b**ch?”

Lil Nas X’s breakout anthem, “Old Town Road,” spent an astonishing 19 weeks at the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100. His debut album, MONTERO, also yielded multiple chart-toppers, including the Jack Harlow feature “INDUSTRY BABY” and “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name),” both hitting the No. 1 position.

Conversely, Banks does not have any entries on the Hot 100. Nevertheless, her albums Broke with Expensive Taste and 1991 – EP achieved positions of No. 30 and No. 133, respectively, on the Billboard 200.

In another part of her outburst on X, the creator of “Luxury” stated, “[You] have no achievements, n**ga. It feels like you’re broke, engaging in race play, and an Uncle Tom a** eater. Not [you] pleading with me to join [your] little trash-a** song. You [are] irritated that I turned it down.”

Turning to his Instagram Stories, Lil Nas X posted a screenshot of the Harlem artist’s “Out of Space.” He remarked, “I wish to see [you] succeed and shine brilliantly. [You] can drop this online bully persona any moment. [Your] followers adore [you]. We love [you].”

Earlier this year, Banks proposed that Lil Nas X and Tyler, The Creator form an iconic duo. Though the latter has never openly addressed his sexuality, he responded, “[Laughing my f**king a** off]. What the hell?”
