Tyler, The Creator’s eighth studio project, CHROMAKOPIA, launched on streaming platforms this Monday morning (Oct. 28). Accompanying prior singles like “St. Chroma,” “Noid,” and “Thought I Was Dead,” this 14-track collection features contributions from artists such as Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown, Childish Gambino, Doechii, and more.

Within the collection, Tyler proclaimed himself the “biggest to emerge from the city” since Kendrick Lamar on the track “Rah Tah Tah.” Additionally, “Sticky” brought together Sexyy Red and GloRilla, with Lil Wayne also providing a verse for this instrumentally-rich song.

Other notable tracks included “Darling, I” and “Take Your Mask Off,” which sparked discussions about whether Tyler was revealing more about his sexuality. Listen to the complete LP below.

During a performance in Los Angeles, he elucidated the significance behind CHROMAKOPIA: “The album evolved into a reflection of a lot of lessons my mom shared with me as a child. Now that I’m 33, I realize, ‘Oh, that’s what she meant.’”

“People are maturing, individuals are starting families, and all I possess is a new Ferrari,” he added. “Life is unfolding, and I simply desired to pen thoughts that come to me while I’m dolo (solo).”

As previously highlighted by Rap-Up, Tyler will promote the album through his “CHROMAKOPIA: THE WORLD TOUR.” The tour is set to kick off in February 2025, spanning North America, Europe, and the UK.

In the US, the Grammy-winning artist will touch down in prominent cities such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Detroit, and more, with Lil Yachty and Paris Texas as the opening acts. Tickets for the general public will be available for purchase starting this Friday (Nov. 1) at 10 a.m. EDT.
