Tina Knowles is set to release a memoir titled “Matriarch: A Memoir,” on April 22, 2025. Following the initial reveal on Tuesday (Oct. 29), Beyoncé shared an emotional message directed at her mother, stating she “couldn’t feel prouder.”
“My affection for you transcends what I can articulate,” the “CUFF IT” artist conveyed via Instagram. “You have poured your soul into this book. I’m thrilled for you to unveil some of the experiences that have transformed you into who you are today. To know you is to cherish you.” In a lighthearted conclusion to her post, she humorously asked, “Please don’t reveal too much Mama Tea,” along with the book’s scheduled release date.
Tina’s memoir is poised to delve into her childhood in 1950s Galveston, Texas, along with her journey of nurturing her superstar children and her own remarkable talents. Readers can look forward to narratives about nurturing Solange, Beyoncé, and Kelly Rowland, as suggested in the description provided for the book.
“It’s a captivating tale of one extraordinary woman’s personal journey, intertwined with a multigenerational family narrative that reflects the essence of America — and the wisdom shared between women, from mothers to daughters, over time,” Tina’s official website states.
Previously, Tina discussed her experiences of motherhood during her acceptance speech at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards on Oct. 8, where she reduced Beyoncé to tears. “I was quite the rebellious teenager and young adult, often bending the rules, but once I became a mother, I vowed to ensure that was one area I wouldn’t falter in,” she shared with the audience. The Texas native also reflected on her four daughters — including Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, whom she guided during Destiny’s Child’s journey — being her support during challenging times.
Earlier this month, Tina took a significant role by introducing Beyoncé and Rowland on stage at Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston. “It’s been empowering to uplift young individuals and my own kids,” she expressed.
