On Tuesday, October 8, Rihanna showcased pieces from the limited-edition collaboration between Savage X Fenty and Diesel, which she co-directed with Glenn Martens.
“This partnership merges the bold, body-positive and sex-positive spirit of Savage X Fenty’s line with Diesel’s legendary aesthetic,” the brands proclaimed in an Instagram post. The striking images exhibited Rihanna in the Foiled Fishnet Maxi Sleep Slip, Foiled Fishnet Bustier, and Foiled Fishnet String Bikini Panty, elegantly paired with a blue coat.
Additions to the collection ranged from corsets to denim shorts, cami tops, fishnet tanks, and bodysuits, starting at just $24.95 for members of Savage X Fenty.
“She consistently shines in every photoshoot,” a comment noted. Another user added, “Just when we believed Savage X had reached its peak, muva surpassed expectations!” A different commenter chimed in, “Mom served looks as always.”
Complementing Rihanna’s visuals was a beach-themed campaign captured by Salvatore Matarazzo. The imagery depicted a “judgment-free day basking in the Italian sun, featuring individuals of diverse ages, body types, genders, and ethnic backgrounds confidently rocking their outfits,” the brands shared in a statement to WWD.
The “Love on the Brain” artist had previously modeled collections like Savage X Fenty’s Lavish Lace and Bold Lace. In connection with the latter, she donned an unlined plunge bra, a coordinating thong, a garter belt, and thigh-high stockings in a striking black.
“We always aim to embrace women who haven’t felt alluring by societal standards,” she shared with Vogue about her brand’s inclusive philosophy. “We desire for them to recognize this as their sanctuary, where we understand and relate to them.”
In September, Madame Tussauds London debuted a wax statue of Rihanna replicating her iconic look from the 2019 British Fashion Awards, following the earlier installation of her statue in the attire worn during the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show.
